About Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach

Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach, often shortened to FNAF: Security Breach, takes the series out of the traditional security office and into the enormous Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex.

You play as Gregory, a young boy trapped inside the entertainment complex after closing time. Instead of watching animatronics through cameras from one small room, you can explore the building freely while trying to avoid hostile machines, security systems, and other threats.

One animatronic is different.

Glamrock Freddy becomes Gregory's ally and helps him survive the night.

Together, you must explore the Pizzaplex, complete objectives, unlock new areas, and find a way out before the building opens again in the morning.

Security Breach is one of the biggest changes in the Five Nights at Freddy's formula, combining horror, stealth, exploration, puzzles, and free-roaming gameplay.

How to Play Security Breach

Unlike the original Five Nights at Freddy's, Security Breach allows you to move freely through a large 3D environment.

The Mega Pizzaplex contains restaurants, arcades, maintenance areas, attractions, security rooms, hidden passages, and restricted zones.

Your main objectives change throughout the night, but survival usually depends on staying out of sight and finding safe routes through the building.

Controls

Security Breach uses standard first-person movement controls:

  • WASD — move around
  • Mouse — look around
  • Interact — use doors, buttons, terminals, and objects
  • Run — sprint away from danger
  • Crouch — move more carefully and stay hidden
  • Fazwatch — check objectives, messages, maps, and cameras
  • Hide — enter hiding places when enemies are nearby
  • Use Freddy — climb inside Glamrock Freddy when available

Controls may vary slightly depending on the platform or version you are playing.

Explore the Mega Pizzaplex

The Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex is much larger than the locations found in earlier FNAF games.

Instead of repeatedly checking the same hallways, you move between different sections of the building.

Areas include entertainment venues, backstage corridors, security offices, maintenance tunnels, arcades, and themed attractions.

Exploration is important because many objectives require you to find specific items, access cards, security upgrades, or alternate routes.

Some areas are relatively open.

Others are narrow, dark, and much more dangerous.

Pay attention to your surroundings and remember useful hiding places.

Stay Out of Sight

Stealth is one of the most important parts of Security Breach.

The Glamrock animatronics patrol different parts of the Pizzaplex and can chase Gregory if they see him.

Running directly through every room is usually a bad idea.

Instead:

  • Watch enemy patrol routes
  • Crouch when necessary
  • Use objects as cover
  • Hide inside available containers or structures
  • Check security cameras before entering dangerous areas
  • Save sprinting for situations where you have already been spotted

The more carefully you move, the easier it becomes to avoid unnecessary chases.

Use the Fazwatch

Gregory's Fazwatch gives you access to useful information throughout the game.

It can display objectives, messages, maps, and camera feeds.

Security cameras are especially helpful when you need to understand where an animatronic is patrolling.

This keeps one of the classic FNAF ideas alive.

You are still watching animatronics through security cameras.

The difference is that after checking the camera, you need to physically move through the same area yourself.

Glamrock Freddy

Glamrock Freddy is one of Gregory's most important allies.

Unlike the other Glamrock animatronics, Freddy helps Gregory navigate the Pizzaplex and survive dangerous situations.

Gregory can climb inside Freddy's chest compartment and temporarily move around while protected.

This can help you pass through certain dangerous areas, although Freddy has limited battery power.

When his battery becomes low, you need to find a recharge station.

Freddy also becomes more useful as the game progresses, making him much more than a simple hiding place.

Meet the Glamrock Animatronics

Security Breach introduces a new group of animatronics designed for the Mega Pizzaplex.

Glamrock Chica

Glamrock Chica patrols different areas while searching for Gregory.

She can quickly turn a quiet exploration section into a chase if she spots you.

Watch her route and avoid getting trapped in narrow spaces.

Montgomery Gator

Montgomery Gator, usually called Monty, is one of the more aggressive animatronics in the Pizzaplex.

His size and strength make direct encounters dangerous.

When Monty is nearby, finding another route is often safer than trying to move past him.

Roxanne Wolf

Roxanne Wolf, or Roxy, is another major threat.

She patrols parts of the Pizzaplex and can pursue Gregory when alerted.

Use cover and environmental obstacles to avoid giving her a clear path toward you.

The Daycare Attendant

The Daycare introduces one of the game's most memorable sequences.

During normal conditions, Sun controls the area.

When the lights go out, Moon becomes the threat.

This section forces you to complete objectives while navigating a dark environment and avoiding an enemy that can move quickly through the area.

Vanny

Gregory also encounters Vanny, a mysterious rabbit-costumed figure connected to the events taking place inside the Pizzaplex.

Her appearances are different from normal animatronic encounters and add another layer of danger to Gregory's attempt to escape.

Not every threat inside the building follows the same rules.

That means you need to adapt as the night progresses.

Security Levels and Exploration

Many parts of the Mega Pizzaplex are locked when you first encounter them.

As you progress, you can increase your security access and unlock additional areas.

This gives Security Breach a more exploration-focused structure than earlier games.

Instead of simply surviving until the clock reaches 6 AM, you regularly need to decide where to go next, which objective to complete, and how to enter restricted sections of the building.

The large environment also contains optional rooms, collectibles, messages, and hidden details for players willing to explore.

Why Security Breach Feels Different

Earlier FNAF games usually restrict the player to a small location.

Five Nights at Freddy's 4 puts you inside a bedroom and makes sound one of your main survival tools.

Ultimate Custom Night turns the security-office formula into a huge customizable challenge.

Security Breach goes in the opposite direction.

You can walk.

You can run.

You can hide.

You can explore multiple floors and attractions.

You can physically see animatronics patrolling the environment instead of only watching them through cameras.

That freedom makes Security Breach feel closer to a full 3D stealth-horror adventure while still using many recognizable FNAF ideas.
